Watch this video to explore THREE of the world’s MOST EXTREME Airports! The best part, they’re all a ten minute flight apart from each other.

St Maarten will be our base of operations for this Caribbean Adventure. We’ll first explore the world famous Maho Beach where it’s easy to watch jumbo jets land at the nearby St. Maarten Princess Juliana International Airport.

After that, we’ll make the unforgettable 10-minute flight to St. Baarths and experience the unbelievable approach into that island’s airport. It requires specially trained pilots to fly over a hill – and oncoming traffic - before essentially diving toward the airport below. It is hair-raising and anxiety inducing, not for the faint of heart!

We’ll see more of the island before flying to Saba, home to the world’s shortest commercial runway. The approach into that airport and landing is as close to landing on an aircraft carrier as I’ve ever felt, but it was the departure that was the most nail-biting of all!

This Caribbean Aviation Adventure is one we’d recommend to just about everyone. Hope you enjoy!

Enya was born Eithne Ni Bhraonain in Donegal, Ireland. Enya studied classical music at college under private tuition. On leaving college she was asked by Producer Nicky Ryan to join her siblings in their family band. She did so for a short time, but found it too restrictive musically, and so in 1982 she joined Nicky Ryan and Roma Ryan in a creative and business partnership. Enya's first commission was to write a score for Sir David Puttnam for his film "The Frog Prince". Then, the triumvirate secured the soundtrack to the BBC documentary series 'The Celts'. Enya was then signed by Warner Music and all three by EMI Music Publishing. The first album of this contract was "Watermark" with the hit single "Orinoco Flow". This was followed by "Shepherd Moons", "The Memory of Trees", "Paint the Sky With Stars", "A Day Without Rain" which produced the single, "Only Time".

The islands of the Caribbean Sea or West Indies are an extensive archipelago in the far west of the Atlantic Ocean, mostly strung between North and South America. They've long been known as a resort vacation destination for honeymooners and retirees, but a small movement toward eco-tourism and backpacking has started to open up the Caribbean to more independent travel. With year-round good weather (with the occasional but sometimes serious exception of hurricane season in the late summer and early fall), promotional air fares from Europe and North America, and hundreds of islands to explore, the Caribbean offers something for almost everyone.

The Caribbean islands were first inhabited by the Arawak Indians, then were invaded by a more aggressive tribe, the Caribs. Unfortunately, neither could appreciate their victory forever, although the Arawaks may have had a quiet reign of nearly two millenia.
